Hello! My name is Amy. I love to sit in front of the TV and drink hot cocoa. I never met a craft I didn't like. My craft of choice is usually knitting, but I will try anything to get a craft high, such as sewing, quilting, beading, dollmaking, crochet, scrapbooking, anything involving glitter... I also like taking pictures, usually of moss and/or little girls.
I met my husband Brent in college when I was working in the dorm cafeteria at the Ortega Taco Bar. What can I say, the man likes tacos. The most frequently asked question I get about Brent is Does he like the Fair as much as you? And the answer is no! Of course not. Don't be ridiculous. But he likes the Fair because I like the Fair. It is one of the hundred million ways he is sweet.
We have two daughters, Bella, who is 5, and Emily (Mimi) who is 2. They will wear nothing I make them except dresses made from hot pink Disney Princess fabric. Bella is our sensitive little mother hen, always getting us sweaters and ice packs and calling for us to "Be careful!" while Mimi is our little mischief maker, always tearing off sweaters, needing ice packs, and not being careful.
Why is the blog called "peppercam?" I'm glad you asked! We used to have a little bunny named Pepper. She was so hilariously naughty that Brent set us up a webcam to watch her while we were at work. The bunny and the webcam are both gone now, but the domain lives on!We live in Minnesota, not too far from where Brent and I both grew up. I often have to remind myself the good points about living here, since it is cold and dark and snow-covered a bunch of the time and I occasionally go insane. Here they are, in case you are wondering:
Good things about Minnesota1) Minnesota State Fair.
2) Cozy knitting weather most of the year.
3) No doubt about a white Christmas.
4) No melting down nuclear reactors nearby.
5) You can always fly to Florida and sob at the site of green leaves.
