Have you ever wanted something to snuggle under while you dream of the State Fair? I don't know about the rest of you, but YOU KNOW I HAVE!
Sweeeeeet State Fair dreams of summer nights and crab fritters.
I did not actually make a crab fritter fabric. It didn't seem very arty at the time, but I'm having some regret showing my fritter-less quilt to the world.
I think the bunnies are my favorite. They make me feel better. And look, they're even ribbon-winning bunnies!
Or maybe the sky-ride cars are my favorite? I drew all the good ones--cow car, police car, sixties car.
Here's a shot of one of the quilts (ugh--hard to take pictures of whole quilts! I am balanced on the top of a bar stool taking this photo)
I used Spoonflower's "fill-a-yard," leaving the white blocks as blanks in their designer tool. I ordered 2-yard tops and it made a nice size quilt. They sewed up so quick! I was a quilting tornado, making both of them all in one day! I may have gotten spray baste on the new kitchen hardwood floor. WHEE!
I started this whole project ages ago--planning the fabrics designs and insanely asking anyone who will listen WHAT DESIGN WOULD BE ON YOUR STATE FAIR FABRIC?!
Here's my lucky little Fair fans, watching TV under their new quilts! I hope they like them as much as I do!!!
Most of the fabric designs are here in my shop on Spoonflower, except for the ones that, you know, are direct copies of copywritten material COUGH
