This morning we sleep in until 8:20 we are so exhausted! We were planning for rope drop but then decide we don't care that much. We bundle up, pack a picnic, and head to the Magic Kingdom! Happiest place on Earth here we come!
First we ride Dumbo. Mimi, who has large fears of small rides, surprises us all by loving it! We ride THREE TIMES IN A ROW whaaaaat!!
Brent and Bella ride Barnstormer. "Did you scream?" I ask her. "A little bit. Just for fun." Ha!
Next we have a Fast Pass date with Ariel. She's just the sweetest spunkiest princess. I love her so.
We go on her ride since we are all in a Little Mermaid mood. No waiting! What is everybody doing in this park if not riding this ride!
Then it's time for a picnic lunch. Look at our perfect table at Gaston's Tavern! We are so glad to be warming in the sun. Ahhhhh. We enjoy some popcorn from Maurice's cart in a new 7 Dwarves bucket. Because there's nothing we like better than hard to pack souvenir popcorn buckets. Notice my precious La Croix bubbly water in the photo below, thanks to Garden Grocer I am able to maintain my La Croix lifestyle even on vacation!
We ride the carousel. A Mimi favorite.
We meet Cinderella and Rapunzel. Rapunzel asked the girls, "What do you dream about?" Bella says she wants to be a chef and open a restaurant. Mimi wants to fly.
We see Mickey's Philharmagic and Mimi surprises us all again by liking it. EXCEPT for the scary champagne bottles. Maybe she is hitting her Disney prime?
Then we follow Maximus's horse shoe prints in the sidewalks--I had heard there was a "surprise" at the end. (spoiler alert: It is a bag of apples, teehee)
We are getting tired. We decide to hit Carousel of Progress on the way out and it takes forever. Still one of our favorite rides!! Because what's a good day at Magic Kingdom without a GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW??
By 2:30 we are on our way out of the park. We rest in the room and then go for a polar bear swim in the freezing cold weather (60 degree weather is not my cup of tea but I do love these girls). We explore our resort. The Cars area is our favorite and we love love love it. Here we are hugging on some Cars.
We head to downtown Disney for dinner and eat at the Earl of Sandwich. YUM. Bella eats a whole avocado BLT. Where does she put it?! Then we shop for a souvenir. Mimi picks an Ariel polly pocket set and Bella picks a baby Pegasus stuffed animal. We are so tired so we bus back to our resort. We happen to see the fireworks from the bus (Illuminations I think?). We are tucked in bed by 9:30. Phew!
Day 4.Another chilly day! We have all worn our two warm outfits twice now. Probably a bit of a packing fail but still. I blame Florida. I guess I will be doing laundry tonight!
We sleep in a bit and then are off to Hollywood Studios! Whee! I love me some Hollywood Studios. We go straight to the Disney Jr. show because that's what we always do! Then I want to try the Animation Academy. We've never done it before. We get to draw Stitch and it is so fun! The girls drawings are so cute. We can't wait to do it again.
We see Baymax in the Animation building from a distance, I wanted to wait and get a photo but heck no what am I thinking, Mimi takes one look and screams TOO BIG. Ok, we'll move on to Muppets!
Then we have a great idea. We take the Friendship boat to Epcot for lunch! BEST IDEA EVER.
We get off at The Swan and walk to try to be clever and fast and it is not faster but turns out to be rather clever, since then we can stop at the Boardwalk Bakery and fill up our resort mugs with some quality Boardwalk Blend hot coffee! Yum and brr!
We head straight to China for orange chicken. The girls eat a huge lunch (no longer surprising me) and then are raring to do an Agent P Adventure. We do Germany and France (saving the world twice. You're welcome.) They race around like they own the place. It is hilarious.
Then it's time for a snack, French Style. Brace yourself. It's the TRIUMPHANT RETURN of PUMPKIN SOUP IN A BREAD BOWL.
Can I get an Amen.
The others had some various other pastries but I only had eyes for my bread bowl.
We visit Japan so the girls can do Kidcot and we happen to run into our favorite drum show! Well we don't see many drum shows. But if we did I can confidently say, this would be our favorite!!
Then we have a crazy Fast Pass reservation at Enchanted Tales with Belle, followed by a highly anticipated Wishes Fast Pass. So we monorail over to Magic Kingdom.
Bye Epcot! We love you!
We get in the gate and realize, Magic Kingdom is BONKERS BANANAPANTS tonight. We have a lot of trouble even getting to Enchanted Tales. It takes us almost an hour.
At Enchanted Tales I get picked to be the suit of armor! YES! Except that means I am in character (holding still) and don't take any pics. Oh well! The girls are too shy to be in the show (actually probably exhausted!!). After Belle, we ride It's a Small World and then ditch the stroller and head to our Wishes Fast Pass reservation.
We are completely dazzled by the Wishes Fast Pass location--on the grass with that view! It is AMAZING. Tinkerbelle's line is right above us but the cast member tells us it is too cold for her to fly tonight. Boo.
Then we have a fairly horrific time getting back to our resort. I end up "helping" the bus loader attendant, who is not doing his job as well as I could have done it. Our conversation ends with him saying DON'T MAKE ME TAZE YOU and me killing the crowd with DON'T TAZE ME BRO!!
It was both awkward and beautiful.
We are exhausted and in bed by 10pm. I do not do laundry so we will be just continue wearing the one set of warm clothes we brought. Soon they will be able to go to the parks without us!
Stay tuned for part 3, in which we drink more hot beverages and my glasses finally arrive from their miraculous journey across the country.
