Bella picked the theme of an Ever After High Mad Tea Party for her birthday this year! It turned out so cute.
We made treats for tea time, nut rolls of course.
And also Turkish Delight, as requested by the birthday girl. I had to go to the Holy Land Deli to get it!
My Maddie Hatter cake turned out a little crazier than I had hoped. But Bella was absolutely thrilled with it!
We set the table with tea things. Each girl got a tea cup and saucer I purchased from Goodwill.
Bella wore her Maddie Hatter skirt--it looks super cute on her!
After all the girls had arrived, we handed out character cards (see here) telling which Ever After High character they were going to be. Then everyone got class schedules (see here) with things like Riddlish (joke telling) and Theater (an Ever After puppet show).
After we'd whipped through some of the 'classes' (quicker than I thought!), it was time for walking tacos for dinner. Then of course cake and ice cream.
We let the girls jump around and play dance party after dinner.
Then we all gathered back up in the kitchen to make bottle cap necklaces, featuring Ever After High characters. I had ordered all the supplies from Amazon, and I had enough for each girl to make about 10 each. And boy did they!! They whipped through this project like they were on the assembly line in a sweat shop.
Then we did the slumber party thing--crunching all these girls into our living room. They finally went to sleep around 11:30. Whew!
In the morning, I baked scones that I had frozen, and sausages, and homemade orange julius. Scones and sausages is Bella's favorite breakfast!
We had so much fun planning and having this party! But I still could not wait for the parents to come pick up! :)
