BEER.

These are the blueberry slurshy things from Japan. I'm just going to say it. This is a beer ICEE and there is no way Japan invented this first.
Fairborne spots me from the parade! I always shout, "I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!"

It sounds less stalkery in person.
Or does it?
Here I am in a gopher hat. I forget what I'm laughing at. But this is how I look most of the time I'm at the Fair. Something on head + GRIN

Then we are walking along and a coworker spots Fairchild and Fairborne on their way to the plaza. He says "You must have a ton of pictures with them." Yes, of course, but I confess that I have never done them both at the same time.
Well brace yourself, today's the day!
Fairborne is trying to ace me out of this picture but he's into it, I assure you.

Then he is sideways.

This one turned out good.

Then it all went to heck on a stick.

Tom photo bombs. Fairborne's hand is up.

Random firefighter photo bombs.

As he's leaving, Fairborne kisses my hand, just like in a real FAIRy tale. SO ROMANTIC.

Then I head out the gates and zip up to get the girls from summer care. Then we are back!

They are so excited for their mini donuts. Jed has just informed them that I am "widely considered to be the Queen of the Fair." Which cracks me up but impresses them immensely.
We play some tic tac sod and drink some honey lemonade.

We say hi to the big Fairchild topiary in the middle of the hort building. The girls decide, since he is holding flowers and urging you to visit your local florist, that he must actually be a girl version and name him Fairoline.
The veggie room. Visiting the big pumpkin. Love this spot during the golden hours of the day.

Butterheads.

Panorama of the Fairgrounds from the top of the Space Tower. Turned out awesome! click to enlarge.

Mimi has been complaining that she is so cold, which is weird since it's super lovely out. I give her a sweatshirt and feel her head. UH OH. Fair Fever! We head straight for the gates.
Stopping only for Turkey to Go.
We bring a little leftover home for daddy, and wrapped in the foil it travels pretty well (compared to most Fair foods). I suppose that's why it's called "to go!"

SEE YOU AT THE FAIR
