We had just gotten engaged. I had just moved into Brent's house. He was on a business trip to Boston, scheduled to fly out on September 12th.
I lit a candle in a jar and put it on the front step every night while Brent spent days trying to get home, thinking of that hotel's motto, "We'll leave the light on for you!" He finally found a rental car in New Hamsphire and drove it 1,400 miles home. Home was the only place anyone wanted to be.
Thinking of all the people who didn't come home that day.
